Maybe I've been spending too much time reading Rick Perlstein's book about Goldwater and the Birchers in the '60s, but I must confess, I am more than a little worried these days. I will say this: the greatest terrorist threat to the nation in the next few years won't come from Bin Laden but from the next Tim McVeigh. Call it a hunch, but that's what I strongly suspect.

If only we had heard the last of incendiary speech, but people such as Michelle Bachmann have a platform from which to poison our political discourse. Free speech has a price. When enough responsible corporate citizens, such as UPS, refuse to advertise on Fox Noise, they will get the message and clean up their acts.
