What Would Our Wise Leaders Do

If millions of striking Americans flooded the streets of our cities to protest poverty and unemployment, and brought the economy to a grinding halt? Would they stand in solidarity with the protesters, or call out the tanks? I think we all know the answer to that one, so why would we expect them to support the protesters in Cairo any more than they'd support them in Washington? Just asking.
