They really are, if you think about it: The members of our Fifth Estate, that is, who take best advantage of the power of a free press to hold our leaders accountable---regardless of President or party affiliation---for their many words and actions by subjecting them to the closest possible scrutiny. It's been a blessing to the Republic that they've always hewed to such lofty ethical standards.
