To be perfectly honest, I personally don't care how these people treat their neighbors. It's their backyard, so they can do whatever their regional power dynamic allows them to get away with. But that doesn't mean American taxpayers should keep underwriting their economy to the tune of $3 billion a year in welfare payments---er, foreign aid, sorry. Do you suppose some future U.S President would ever consider derailing the gravy train? We could use that $3 billion for a number of useful things closer to home.
