Random Thought

Democratic institutions are nice things to have because, among other things, societies where individual citizens are equally empowered tend to be societies that share power---and its material blessings---most equitably. Unfortunately, that fact can interfere with the ability of our job creators to leverage social inequality to generate dividends for shareholders, and this is why people can't really be trusted with the levers of democracy. Just so we're clear on this.
