Was just watching The Most Trusted Name over lunch at the local sandwich shop, and if their reporting can be, well, trusted, this is the full range of policy options that America apparently has at its disposal to resolve its Syria dispute, even though very few actual Americans want to bomb anyone right now. I wish I knew how we can span the chasm between our citizens' sanity and our leaders' vanity, but I'm frankly at a loss. Perhaps the only practical solution for those of us with a more humanitarian bent is to try our hand at homesteading someplace where the government's default reaction to every foreign-policy crisis isn't to bomb people because they don't have any bombs. It's worth thinking about!
