Red Lines in The Sand

It doesn't matter which metaphors we use, or the narrative we adopt to justify the war. It's like this: When you drop bombs on people, people will die needlessly, so if the stated goal is to stop people from dying needlessly, don't cause them to die needlessly. This really isn't that difficult to figure out, is it?
