Silver Linings

It was won at obscenely high cost, but the Iraq war and its attendant atrocities have instilled a deep sense of war skepticism into our collective national psyche. Despite our leaders---of both parties!---braying to punish Russia for acts of naked aggression, Americans outside of Washington, burned in the past by lies and incompetence, have collectively chosen to ignore them. A good thing!
